Just a brief note about something most of us think about once a year at best…your central heating system. It’d be nice if it ticked along for twenty five years then gave up the ghost on the manufacturers sell-by date, but we all know that ain’t going to happen. So what do you do to make sure you’re ready for unforeseen hiccups?
Central heating insurance is a popular option, and one we’d recommend. Not only do you get your annual boiler service included in most packages (an essential for keeping your home and family safe) but the total price for central heating breakdown cover is usually not much different from what you’d pay for a boiler service alone. And have no doubt about it, you need an annual boiler service…not to do so is risking carbon monoxide posioning, explosions and more. Sounds dramatic? It can be…but it happens!
So, the upshot of our advice? Get central heating breakdown cover. You need it, it’s as simple as that. Don’t risk your family’s safety or financial comfort for the sake of a few pounds a month. Unless you’re the kind of person who has no problems with a two thousand pound bill coming out of the blue (and congrats if you are) it’s the only way to go.
